What does a VFD do?
A variable frequency drive (VFD) controls the speed of an electric motor by adjusting the frequency and voltage it receives.
How does a VFD save energy?
Pumps and fans use much less power at reduced speed. A VFD runs them at the speed the job needs instead of full speed with valves or dampers throttling the flow.
Can a VFD be added to an existing motor?
Often, yes. We check the motor, load, and wiring during the site survey to confirm compatibility.
What causes common VFD faults?
Overcurrent, overvoltage, and overheating faults are often caused by dust, poor cooling, wiring issues, or incorrect settings. We diagnose the cause, not just reset the drive.
